 Gold Plate

We use a 2.0 micron 24k gold plate over sterling silver for all of our plated pieces. A 2.0 micron plate is a heavier layer of gold, however it will wear away over time. We use sterling silver as the core of each of our plated jewelry. This insures that If the plating on your piece wears away with use, there is precious metal against your skin preventing oxidation.

To extend the life of your plated items, avoid contact with harsh chemicals, soaps, fragrances, and chlorine.

Re-plating services available. Costing upon request.

Sterling Silver

We use sterling silver for all of our pieces. Sterling silver contains 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. Silver is a soft metal and must have a small percentage of other metals to be create jewelry.

Sterling Silver will tarnish over time. This is due to a natural reaction to chemical in the air.

To slow the tarnishing process, remove your jewelry when you wash your hands, shower, or do the dishes. As with our plated pieces, avoid contact with harsh chemicals, soaps, fragrances, and chlorine.

Tarnished pieces can be polished using a silver cleaning dip or cloth. If you choose to use a cleaning dip. Make sure to follow all directions on these products.

Storage

It is best to keep your pieces in a safe dry place avoiding humidity.
